I'm Going on a (Blogging) Adventure!
Welcome to the informal introduction of what I like to call my “I’m going on a blogging adventure.”
Bilbo would be proud I am certain.
In 2016, I decided I wanted to start taking my fitness and nutrition seriously, but I had no idea where to start. I was a confused and overwhelmed consumer of the fitness industry who took the learning into her own hands. In doing so, I found an accidental passion for learning, coaching, and doing all things fitness and nutrition related (more on that another day).
Today, I am still frustrated by the lack of information, yet abundance of misinformation in the fitness space; especially as it pertains to women. We suffer the most pressure about our bodies, yet lack the most guidance and support.
With that in mind, I have one primary goal with this endeavor: to be for you reading this blog what I wish I had when I first started taking my fitness and nutrition seriously by providing value, inspiration, and education.
I want this space to be just one facet of carrying out my mission of helping women realize their potential in the weight room and in the kitchen, and to foster a mindset that has you truly embracing your journey.
I spent a good portion of my life comparing myself to other women, which wasn't fair to me or the other person. I have my unique goals and needs, and so do you. No comparison.
You can do this. That is, if you really want to. Fitness and nutrition doesn't have to be complicated, overwhelming, or time consuming; and I'm here to help.
Today I am hoping to offer you a space where you feel comfortable and confident visiting with questions or for support. I'll always be here.
Today I am stepping out of my comfort zone by starting a blog.
Side-note: fuck comfort zones.
Today I am opening a door that will hopefully be full of helpful information for you to use as you see fit.
I am stepping not in front or behind you, but instead alongside you. So let's go.
Until next time hobbits,
P.S. Free of expletives not guaranteed. Guaranteed to involve attempts at being both entertaining and informative. Success rate TBD.
